Cincinnati's Red's Hall Of Fame member Marty Brennaman sits down with us to explain What Jackie Robinson did for the game of Baseball. April 15, 1947 was not your typical day at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, NY. During the first inning of a game against the Boston Braves, a man by the name of Jack Roosevelt Robinson took his spot at first base and in a single moment, changed the game of baseball forever. As he dug his cleats into the infield dirt for the first time that day in Brooklyn, Jackie shattered the sport's longstanding policy of not allowing African Americans to play professionally, now referred to as baseball's "color barrier." Being a black man in a white person's game, at a time in our nation where racism was nearly at its peak, Jackie would step onto hostile fields throughout his entire career. Balls were thrown at his head and slurs were thrown at this heart, but Jackie never lost focus. He stood in the batter's box and stared adversity directly in the face. Jackie swung more than just a bat that day. He swung the door open for African Americans to fulfill a dream that they were once denied. The opportunity to play at baseball's highest level. In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Jackie's major league debut, Unheardof presents the Nike Dunk Low "Jackie Robinson." Donning Dodgers inspired Racer Blue nubuck and Coconut tumbled leather in the Dunk's iconic "Be True to Your School" colorblocking, the upper features Jackie's number 42 at the heel and his famous quote: "I’m not concerned with your liking or disliking me… all I ask is that you respect me as a human being" subtly printed on its panels. A simple yet powerful message for human beings the world over. Other notable details include a special tongue tag denoting the 75th anniversary of Jackie's debut with the Dodgers, a two-tone embroidered Swoosh on the toebox, and two sets of laces including one done in baseball stitched motif. The Nike Dunk "Jackie Robinson" sits atop a White midsole with a Black rubber outsole. This is truly a collector's item for both baseball and shoe fans alike. Dropping July 19th at UNheardof.
In honor of Pride month UNheardof would like to shine the spotlight on our longtime friend and Cincinnati skate scene local legend Vincent "PIMPCENT" Lyday. Pimpcent took the time to sit down with us to highlight his lifestyle and the struggles and triumphs that came with it. His message is simple, Be true to who you are in the face of adversity. We ask you to take a moment to view the photo gallery and video detailing Pimpcent's journey as he fought and clawed with himself and society to cement his unique imprint on this world.

Nike X Hello Kitty Collection is available 05.26.2022 at 11AM EST.
Originally produced as a gift for Nike's friends and family in 2004, the Nike Air Presto Hello Kitty returned in 2022 for its first-ever official release. The Nike Air Presto Hello Kitty nods to Sanrio's Hello Kitty, a fictional character created by Yuko Shimizu in 1974. The upper is constructed of a light blue neoprene upper with Hello Kitty graphics and a semi translucent TPU lace cage. At the heel, a Hello Kitty styled heel wrap adds further detailing. From there, a white and black Air sole with Swoosh detailing completes the design.
